KAMUI SHIROU

The reluctant bishounen protagonist of the saga, Kamui returns to his birthplace Tokyo as the story starts to
unfold, haunted by his mother's violent death. Soon, it becomes revealed that he is the one person who can determine
the fate of the world by either becoming a Dragon of Heaven (good) or Dragon of Earth (bad). At first, he is
indifferent, preferring to protect his childhood friends Kotori and Fuuma over the rest of mankind. However, in
true reluctant bishounen protagonist form, Kamui eventually chooses to join the Dragons of Heaven in their quest
to save Earth. Can he fulfill his duties as humanity's savior and still keep true to the two most important people
in his life?

FUUMA MONOU
|
|
|
Fuuma is Kamui's (former) best friend, who seems at first to be a genuinely good guy looking out for the best
interests of his little sister and old acquaintance. Unfortunately, he is Kamui's Twin Star, meaning that he would
assume the opposite of whatever path Kamui chose to take. When Kamui decided to become a Dragon of Heaven, Fuuma
became a Dragon of Earth. As a result of this, he developed into a rather twisted, sadistic baddie with only one
desire-to cause as much pain to Kamui as possible.

SEISHIROU SAKURAZUKA
|
|
A Dragon of Earth, Seishirou is a cold-hearted assassin (yep, another one of those). He is a member of the
Sakurazukamori group that derives its spiritual powers from a sakura tree, hence the name. Unlike most of the
other characters, Seishirou expresses no particular interest in the fate of the world. He claims to feel no
emotion for anyone, and it certainly seems that way. Interestingly enough, though, he has an artificial right
eye, because he lost it when protecting someone...

SUBARU SUMERAGI
|
|
|
Subaru Sumeragi is the thirteenth leader of the Sumeragi clan and a powerful onmyouji (a medium of sorts).
He is bitter and angst-ridden, often longing for death. However, he wasn't always this way. He used to be an innocent,
carefree teenager in love until a single event destroyed his life, taking away someone very dear to him. Now, all that
drives him is a need for revenge against the person who betrayed him, the one he used to love-Seishirou Sakurazuka.
