KEITAROU URASHIMA

Keitarou is a 20-year-old loser who fails to get into a prestigious college after high school. Naturally, by the laws of anime, he is automatically the target of pretty young women everywhere. Also, he is rather wimpy and dorky looking, which makes all the women want him even more. Such is the life in the anime universe. After failing miserably in school, Keitarou becomes the resident manager at an dormitory where several beautiful college girls live. To say that life gets interesting for Keitarou after that is a major understatement. Despite his appearance and personality, Keitarou is very caring inside, and would do anything to help out the people he loves. A real romantic at heart, he is actually on a mission to find a girl he made a promise to when they were little kids.

NARU NARUSEGAWA

She is both the object of Keitarou's affection and his worst fear. On the outside, she appears to be the sweet and caring girl. But whenever she gets angry, fists and feet go flying toward the closest object - usually poor Keitarou. Naru does care for her friends, but it seems like she can't control her temper sometimes, especially towards Keitarou. Maybe if her vision improves (she can't see a thing without her glasses or contacts), she will realize that the inanimate object she constantly beats on is really Keitarou. Funny thing is, Naru is also looking for a long lost person from her childhood to whom she made a promise. Could it be someone she knows already?

MITSUNE KONNO

The oldest of the girls surrounding Keitarou, Mitsune can be seen as a human Ryoko from Tenchi Muyo. Definitely the wildest of the females, Mitsune is quite popular among
fans. She's nicknamed "The Fox" for her constant sly efforts to cheat poor Keitarou out of his money. Despite her somewhat questionable moneymaking habits and taste for lots of sake, Mitsune is a good friend to both Naru and Keitarou. She's constantly trying to hook the two up, for reasons that aren't quite as they seem.

MOTOKO AOYAMA

A 16 year-old high school student, Motoko is the perfect image of demure old-fashioned femininity ... when she's not beating the crud out of Keitarou. Extremely skilled in the art of kendo, she takes her swordsmanship very seriously. Motoko has somewhat of a vendetta against the male race, which was only worsened by her older sister's marriage. As a result, she doesn't think too highly of Keitarou at first, but she eventually begins to warm up to him as the series progresses.
