I'm Gonna Be An Angel    Noelle, a wannabe angel, falls to earth. Yuusuke, an ordinary high school student living on his own, runs into her and accidentally kisses her awake. Of course, she instantly falls in love with him, calling the poor boy "husband." Despite attempts to get away from her, Noelle shows up at Yuusuke's school, and even follows him home. And naturally, since he's now her "husband", Noelle's family takes over Yuusuke's house and turns his life upside-down. There's something else in the works though, as psychotic villain Dispell seems to want Noelle for some reason...

I'm Gonna Be an Angel is also known as "Tenshi ni Narumon" and ran for 26 episodes. For more information:

Initial D    Initial D takes place in the shadow of Akina mountain following a high school student Takumi Fujiwara. Takumi is an 18 year old who has only had his license for a few months, but has been driving secretly delivering tofu for his fathers store every morning in the wee hours. During this time Takumi has become faster and faster at driving the Akina pass - so fast that he beats a famous racer and becomes drawn into the world of street racing. The story plays out the traditional mistaken identity, good vs evil, David and Goliath, and Pretty Woman clichés, it's good with high points in character development. The car "battles" or races play out like DragonBall Z (they are dragged out over like 2-3 episodes) but are usually entertaining and fast paced.

Initial D ran for two seasons, and also have a few OAVS. Its soundtracks are quite popular for their pumping techno tracks. For more information, some links:

Inuyasha    Long ago, in Japan's Feudal Era, a doglike half-demon called Inuyasha attempted to steal the legendary Shikon no Tama, or the Jewel of Four Souls from a village. This powerful jewel gave its owner unequalled strength and full demon powers. However Inuyasha was stopped by the village priestess Kikyo, who shot him with a holy arrow, sacrificing herself and putting him into a deep sleep. Centuries later Kagome Higurashi falls into an old well and is transported back in time to 50 years after Kikyo's death. There she awakens Inuyasha and is discovered to be the reincarnation of Kikyo, with the Shikon no Tama hidden in her body. Due to a twist of fate, the Jewel is shattered, its fragments spread across the country. Now Inuyasha and Kagome must travel to find the shards and prevent them from being posessed by demons, unleashing great evil throughout the land. The creator of Ranma 1/2 and Maison Ikkoku returns with another terrific series that combines gothic horror, fast-paced adventure, romance, and comedy.

The popular anime and manga for Inuyasha is still running in Japan. For more information, some links:

Irresponsible Captain Tylor    "Tylor, a man so complacent that he'd give granite a run for its money, has through a unique set of circumstances been given command of a space cruiser in a time of war. With a crew that hates his guts, a command staff who hates his guts, and an enemy who hates his guts you'd think his time alive would suddenly become quite limited. You'd be wrong, too!" - RightStuf

Irresponsible Captain Tylor was a 26-episode TV series, as well as an OAV series. For more information, some links:
