Hana Yori Dango    At the exclusive and snobby Eitoku High School, Makino Tsukushi is an outsider - she comes from a poor family, but was accepted on account of her grades. The school is ruled by a group of four teenagers called the F4 - the richest and most influential young men in Tokyo. When Tsukushi tries to stand up for her friend, who had accidentally embarassed one of the F4, she finds herself the target of an all-out razing campaign that pits the whole school against her. However, her strong fighting spirit takes control and she delivers a retribution of the "Red Card" right back at each of the F4. Tsukushi is soon drawn reluctantly into a love-hate relationship with the F4, especially the arrogant, mean-tempered leader, Doumyouji Tsukasa, and the quiet, mysterious Hanazawa Rui.

Hana Yori Dango ran for 51 episodes and is still running as a manga in the bi-monthly comic magazine, Margaret.

Hime Chan no Ribbon    To prove herself worthy to the throne of the Magic World, Princess Erika must create a magical item and show it's usefulness through her double on Earth for one year. In Erika's case, her double is a typical 7th grader named Himeko Nonohara, a thorough tomboy - a little clumsy but always cheerful and energetic. Erika gives Hime-chan the magic ribbon - a device that will transform her into anyone for a full hour. As an incentive, Erika gives life to Himeko's stuffed lion, Pokota, who acts as Hime-chan's guardian and guide. The story follows Hime-chan's misadventures, usually due to mischief she causes with the ribbon. Along the way, Himeko befriends Daichi, a school heartthrob and supposed troublemaker, who eventually becomes one of the few to learn the secret behind the ribbon and the Magic World. Later in the series, Himeko acquires more magical items and has the occasional run-in with the leader of the "We Love Daichi" Fanclub, Hibino, as well as members of the Magic World itself.

Hime-chan's Ribbon ran for 61 episodes on television. For more information, some links:
