MISATO KATSURAGI
|
|
Strong-willed and cheerful, Misato acts as Shinji's guardian and makes him live with her, determined to bring him out of his shell. She is the only living human to have witnessed the Second Impact, and the memory of it has scarred her deeply. She is the Chief of Operations at NERV and manages the headquarters in Commander Ikari's absence. She also owns a special tropical penguin named Pen-Pen.

GENDO IKARI

Commander Ikari is the head of NERV and Shinji's indifferent father. He is always cold, calm and rarely shows any expression, besides an amused smirk. He abandoned Shinji as a toddler and has never shown affection to his son, instead treating Rei more warmly. He hides a secret project that has to do with the Third Impact called the "Human Complement Project."

RITSUKO AKAGI |

The head of the Evangelion Development Program, Ritsuko is always professional and collected. She and Misato have been good friends since college, but she still hides the truth about the EVA Units from her friend. She seems to be only interested in work, but she has had relationships in the past with a couple other members of NERV.

FUYUTSUKI KOUZO

Fuyutsuki is the Assistant Commander of NERV and was Gendo's associate even before the 2nd Impact. He was alsp a teacher to Yui Ikari, Gendo's late wife. He socializes more with the other NERV members than Gendo, but is always conscious of the secrets he must keep.

KAJI RYOUJI |

Misato's former lover and college classmate, Kaji arrives with Asuka from the NERV organization in Germany. Confident of his charms and good looks, Kaji's real motives and loyalties are always unsure; he is a spy, but it is unknown as to who he reports to.

MAYA IBUKI

|
A technical assistant for Ritsuko's Evangelion reasearch projects, Maya idolizes and admires her supervisor. She is quite knowledgable in technical areas - enough to aid Ritsuko when disaster strikes NERV's supercomputer, the Magi.

MAKOTO HYUGA |
|
Hyuga is Misato's assistant strategist, and the often are often seen planning the best tactics to use in fighting their enemy. He helps analyze the Angels and develops offensive and defensive strategies based on his findings. He is usually seen with Aoba and Maya in the frontal terminals in the main base.

SHIGERU AOBA
|
|
Aoba is a computer technician for NERV, usually seen with Maya and Hyuga. He is generally pretty quiet and not much is known about him, besides that he enjoys playing air guitar.

YUI IKARI |
Yui was Gendo's wife and Shinji's mother. She was the original test pilot for EVA Unit-01 and was able to reach a synch percentage of 400% before she was suddenly absorbed into the EVA. It is speculated that she did not die, but her soul lived on inside the EVA.
