A normal 10-year-old and member of the cheerleading club in her school, Sakura leads a regular life. Happily living at home with her father and older brother, she has a best friend in Tomoyo and a major crush on one of her brother's friends. One day, she accidentally unleashes the power of the Clow Cards from an ancient relic her father had stored away years earlier. Now, like all good magical girls gifted with new and mysterious powers, she must use her newfound abilities to save the world from evil, learning important things about life and love along the way.

KERBERUS

Kerberus is the guardian of the Clow Cards, with powers beyond imagination. He was once a large and fearsome looking beast, but now looks like a typical Anime mascot because his powers have dwindled over time. He is very wise, being able to speak numerous languages, and he also thinks very highly of himself. Because of this, he can seem pushy and selfish at times, but no one uses that against him. When he's not guiding Sakura in her quest to recover all the Clow Cards, Kero-chan likes to stuff his face with cake and takoyaki.

LI SAOLAN

Showing up first as a transfer student from Hong Kong, Li Shaolan is really a descendant of Clow Reed, the originator of the Clow Cards! Because of his lineage, he is also able to use massively strong powers. Initially, he is very wary of Sakura, criticizing her for not being able to fully comprehend her powers. Li is also on a search for the Clow Cards, even though his motives remain unknown. Like any good romantic story line in a shoujo series, Li gradually begins to like Sakura, and they team up to fight all the bad guys together.

TOMOYO DAIDOUJI

Tomoyo is Sakura's best friend, and the person with no magical abilities who knows of Sakura's quest. Often seen gushing over Sakura and how cute she is, it is obvious that Tomoyo is Sakura's number one fan! Filthy rich, she has bodyguards drive her and her friends around, and even provides Sakura with different outfits everytime they go hunting for Clow Cards. Extremely sweet, caring, and sensitive, it is hard for anyone not to like Tomoyo.
