Captain Harlock    Background: Captain Harlock is the well-known scourge of the galaxy in the 2970's - the space pirate fighting for the freedom of Earth against its oppressors, the Earth Occupation Forces. After surrendering to the Illumidas, he joins up with the engineer Tochiro, who built the Space Pirate Ship Arcadia. Captin Harlock's main plot revolves around a young man named Daiba Tadashi, who had lost both of his scientist parents under suspicious circumstances. Daiba soon learns of a mysterious, ancient plot by an alien race to occupy the Earth and joins the Arcadia crew to battle these invaders. Together they discover that this race of plant-based humanoids, called the Mazone, have infiltrated the Earth already in the form of human women. Besides this, they find another deeper connection between the Mazone and primitve pyramids found at the bottom of Earth's seas; this has Arcadia's crew wondering just how long the Mazone had been infiltrating the planet… Through the story, the humans and Mazone develop a sort of respect between the two, and Harlock is considered the Queen's worthiest opponent - the only person able to save the Earth, even though the Earth has rejected him repeatedly.

Captain Harlock was a 42 epiosde television series, and also had several sequels and specials. For more information, please visit this link:

Later in the series, Sakura finds herself in competition against the upstart Li Shaoran, who transferred from Hong Kong to take the Clow Cards himself, as well as his cousin Mei-ling. Crayon Shin Chan    Meet Japan's equivalent to the Simpsons: Shinnosuke Nohara. He is a five-year old terror growing up in Japan. He lives in a nice house with his mom and dad, has his own little dog, and plays with mecha (toy robots) from his favorite TV show. Shin-chan gets into alot of trouble just by being himself -- speaking his mind and doing what he feels when he feels like it. This of course leads to Shinchan having many mischevious and enormously funny adventures (or misadventures if you will).

Crayon Shin-Chan is an extremely long-running and highly rated anime series, each episode being split into 3 10 minute segments. For more info on Crayon Shin-Chan:
